(Although they may be incredibly inane...)

WUAB is not alone in somewhat prematurely introducing the "My" branding... almost all the Fox O&Os joining My Network have done the same. On the other hand, I know of no CW stations that have done so. Probably because being "My" something can mean anything you want it to mean.

Also wanted to point out that this isn't "TVWeek's story"; it's been reported on by Broadcasting and Cable, although I chose TV Week because it doesn't mangle WSYX's call letters.

Being a Seattle guy and thus unaffected by any of this, what I find most interesting is that, apparently, CBS has pulled an about-face and decided it wants to affiliate its non-CW UPN stations with My Network TV after all, after it looked certain they were all going independent. Except WSBK in Boston. Hmm.

In other Fox-related news, on the day of the All-Star Game they announced they've re-upped with Major League Baseball for seven years. No more division series on Fox, and they'll only do one league championship series a year, alternating leagues. TBS will do the division series and will give up its national Braves games in favor of a Sunday afternoon game of the week. The broadcaster of the non-Fox LCS is still to be determined, and Fox could still show some games there. Why would they show or have in this case a web ad for a show they are not going to air but rather a comepeting station will air? Unless it has something to do with the web page being automatically fed ads from LA, it is very strange to give free ad time to another station like WUAB.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13975530.post-1152760106357384252006-07-12T23:08:00.000-04:002006-07-12T23:08:00.000-04:00the my network tv promo look on the left side.the my network tv promo look on the left side.richardnelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09450931701257858079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13975530.post-1152759615321971392006-07-12T23:00:00.000-04:002006-07-12T23:00:00.000-04:00As of today, and perhaps earlier this week, WUAB h...As of today, and perhaps earlier this week, WUAB has been airing new station ID bumpers as "WUAB, My 43."
