Upon my hiring, Bill sat down with me and talked to me about the seriousness of doing tower readings and making sure the station ran properly...even during the overnight hours. Also, Bill stressed how important it was to have your name on that transmitter log. One particular former WHBC jock, who was at the controls, once left the station to go to Wendy's for dinner while a news person stepped in to run interviews. An A.P. alert went off and the news person had no idea what to do. <BR/><BR/>I can't even begin to think about the wrath that that on-air person had to face from Bill!<BR/><BR/>Bill, more than anybody at WHBC, really stressed how important it was to sound good and be a professional. <BR/><BR/>Bill, happy retirement!
