Their signal is at 75% at my location in Canton, sometimes peaking slightly higher. No "night lighting" for them, I guess. :)oldcroonerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01249048011558100509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13975530.post-74634034213398859602009-02-17T12:13:00.000-05:002009-02-17T12:13:00.000-05:00Apologies for veering slightly off topic, but I've...Apologies for veering slightly off topic, but I've paid attention to Huntington/Charleston WV stations due to family ties in the region, and am confused by the "final FCC list".

WOWK suffered damage to its analog transmitter (late 2008?) and had already made its DTV transition long before now, not on 2/17. That sounds like it ought to be listed as a "hardship waiver", and also ought to keep them off the list of stations providing any sort of Nightlight service. Can't imagine any station being asked to spend money to revive a dead analog transmitter in a market where other stations will offer Nightlight.
So, how many other such errors exist in this FCC list? Very odd.emery_rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07870661804526939428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13975530.post-81401908129346688652009-02-17T11:26:00.000-05:002009-02-17T11:26:00.000-05:00Perhaps the FCC is just saying that they are autho...Perhaps the FCC is just saying that they are authorizing WTRF to do nightlight service, but it's up to them if they want to do it (after all, it is voluntary). Something tells me that they'll pass on the offer, but we'll find out.

It's also possible that the FCC didn't let them off the hook when WTOV caved in under scrutiny from the FCC.Andrew Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10530352530315401118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13975530.post-54248748777764579322009-02-17T07:55:00.000-05:002009-02-17T07:55:00.000-05:00Roger Sheppard is a wonderful fellow. For a such a small station, WTAP had moved toward DTV very early in the game. Sheppard has also mentored talent that have moved on to larger venues.fanofgrendelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00571223272198477100noreply@blogger.com
