Former Clear Channel regional honcho Jim Meltzer has landed in Pittsburgh, where he's been announced as the new VP/GM of CBS Radio's Pittsburgh cluster...rock/O&A affiliate WRKZ/93.7 "K-Rock", hot AC WZPT/100.7 "Star 100.7", and country WDSY/107.9 "Y108".
Meltzer left his post as regional VP for Clear Channel's Northeast Ohio stations, and as market manager of the company's Cleveland cluster, in November 2005. He was replaced by CC Cincinnati market manager Mike Kenney.

jim melzer was a great programmer for cc, and even though they've got a good one now, melzer will be missed. congrats to him for the p-puke move.
OA--
I'm not sure "left" is the appropriate word. All signs were that Meltzer was fired. Crappy thing to happen to him, but he'll have his hands full in Pittsburgh's CBS cluster.
My condolences to Pittsburgh.
Watch your backs.
