OMW hears that the replacement for former Media-Com talk WNIR/100.1 "The Talk of Akron" morning co-host Maggie Fuller will start Monday.
Taking the microphone alongside Stan Piatt, Steve French and Jim Midock Monday morning will be...
Maggie Fuller.
We don't have much information why Ms. Fuller has decided to return to her spot on the Akron market talk station's morning show, but she will, starting Monday morning.
We don't know, but we do believe that the station had not anticipated her return, and was slowly auditioning people to actually take the slot...

I like Maggie but I certainly hope she doesn't become the next Robin Svoboda. Robin has left and returned to WJW so many times, they installed a revolving door just for her.
Actually, it makes financial sense for WNIR to have Maggie back. This way, they do not have to spend the money to take a new morning crew picture for the website. And knowing WNIR, they probably don't have a digital camera. It's a win win situation for everyone!
I'm delighted to hear this. The show has been a little flat since she left. Hopefully the NIR management took care of her financial needs.
I know this is mean, but I really can't stand Maggie Fuller. She's intelligent and well read. (So why can't I stand her?) But instead of being herself and classing up the show a bit, she tries to "fit in" with ill-timed gutteral remarks that would be funny, if someone else said them. She's insincere and flat and I was looking forward to a change. Oh well!
