Kim Resurfaces

A regular OMW tipster tells us that former Clear Channel talk WTAM/1100 Cleveland afternoon co-host Kim Mihalik was heard over the weekend - Saturday morning - on CBS Radio AC WDOK/102.1. We're told she did pretty well, considering that to the best of our knowledge, Kim's never done music radio before.

Mihalik joined WTAM afternoon motormouth Mike Trivisonno a few years ago by winning a station contest. She had no previous radio experience before that. We don't know if the WDOK appearance was an audition or a fill-in...the station's website schedule lists Desiray McCray in the Saturday morning time slot.

WTAM let her go in early November of last year, reportedly due to budget concerns. The station later hired Triv intern "Alison" to basically fill Mihalik's former role on the program...

Kim's Saturday shift is a done deal.

Her audition was a few weeks ago.

Kim has filled in on the morning show for Robin Benzle a few times and has done a tremendous job. (Funny how nobody notices what we do here. Guess it's cuz we're not a marquee station, although the ratings would indicate otherwise l.o.l.)

Kim expressed an interest in doing a music show and she's got enough talent to pull it off. Desiray is 6a-10 Sat. Kim is 10-2p Sat.

Questions? I'm always here....
