I've tried helping friends rescan and still can't get WJW or WOIO for anyone. But, they're quite happy with the choices they now have and the incredible picture quality of WEWS, WBNX and others. Not everyone who has cable has every TV hooked up. Some still use rabbit ears for certain TVs in the house. In fact, the clarity of the picture coming from over-the-air is better than what they see from cable.

I believe the "over the air" signal is always better than what you will receive on cable or satellite. It is the least compressed of any digital signal. If you can get the channel from an antenna, enjoy it. It's the BEST you will see.

Yes, over the air signals will always trump cable and satellite quality. The cable and sat provders must compress the data to fit it into their allocated pipeline. If you truly want HD picture quality, invest in a modest to superior outdoor antenna with a rotor. It almost makes cable or sat delivery unnecessary
