Toledo Stations Hire News Boss

Clear Channel's Toledo cluster has hired a new "Director of News and Information" for its five station group, and they didn't have to go far to find a qualified candidate for the job.

AllAccess reports that the Clear Channel Toledo stations have hired Cassie Wilson to manage news coverage...she brings experience in radio news in markets such as Washington, Baltimore, Atlanta and Buffalo. She'll also do anchoring on the cluster's news/talk station, WSPD/1370.

And perhaps that's why her name would sound familiar...as Wilson will be working alongside her husband, WSPD program director/afternoon drive host Brian Wilson. The couple also has a stint in radio ownership, having once owned AM daytimer WCTR/1530 Chestertown MD.
